GILMER/UPSHUR COUNTY (KYTX) - Upshur County believes it has found a way to deal with an estimated $930,000 budget shortfall -- without digging further into taxpayers' pockets.
The latest issue has the county nearly a million dollars in the red. So it's asking its employees to make a few cuts here and there just one more time for the next four months to get into Fiscal Year 2014 at minimal impact to local taxpayers.
Commissioners say there's not much left to cut.
"We only need to get through the next four months," Pct. 1 Commissioner Paula Gentry said Thursday.
