UT, One Day After Nat'l Signing Day + Lady Lobos Make Playoffs

One day removed from National Signing Day and Texas Longhorns Co-Offensive Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach Darrell Wyatt made his way to Kilgore to talk about the new signees and UT's future.

Texas A&M finished with the 8th-ranked class in the country on Wednesday while Texas fell to #15. The Longhorns are always a top 5 class under Mack Brown.

Wyatt had quite the audience as members of the Tyler-Longview Longhorn Club gathered at Country Tavern restaurant to hear him speak. The Longhorns signed 15 recruits on NSD, 18 starters this year.

Wyatt said the team's main focus for the recruiting class of 2013 was offense while last year, it was defense.

On the basketball front, the Lady Lobos of Longview are off to the playoffs next week. They're currently 18-12 overall and clinched postseason play just a couple of games before the regular season ended. They received the 4th and final seed. The team doesn't have any seniors.

Longview takes on Rowlett Monday at Lindale in the first round of the playoffs. Tip off is set for 7P.M.
