UT Tyler Basketball Off to Program Best 10-1 Start

UT Tyler Basketball is off to a 10-1 start, that's the best in school history. On Thursday guard Jordan Cannon was named the ASC Conference Player of the week:

Texas-Tyler junior guard Jordan Cannon (Las Vegas, Nev. / Feather
River) averaged 17 points, 4.5 rebounds and two assists to fuel a 2-0
week that extended the Patriots' winning streak to six games. Cannon,
who takes the division's top weekly award for the second time this
season, also hit 10 of 12 free throws and added a steal. In an 82-71
road win against Rhodes, Cannon scored a game-high 25 points – including
going 4 of 6 from 3-point range. His play has helped the Patriots to a
program-best 10-1 start to the season with their only loss coming to
NCAA Division I McNeese State.
