TYLER (KYTX) - There will soon be a rush of people buying flowers for their sweethearts. Valentine's Day is about a week away, but florists say now is the time to start planning ahead.
They're gearing up to get slammed with orders. They say you can make sure your roses get to your valentine on schedule by calling in your order at least a few days early.
"It really is hard because we're so inundated at the last minute because men are always waiting until the last minute." says florist LuAnn Green. "And so, we like for everybody to call as soon as possible. That way we can get you in the delivery chain."
Valentine's Day is by far the biggest sales day of the year for florists across East Texas. Mother's Day is second.
