Victim identified in Rusk County Homicide

Rusk homicide

UPDATE: RUSK COUNTY (KYTX) - The Rusk County Sheriff's Office has identified a weekend homicide victim as 79-year-old Donald Lee Clark of Overton.

During a press conference held Monday, Investigators said Clark was shot and killed during a robbery at his home at 11082 FM 2012 in Overton.

Clark was found dead in his home by a family member.

No arrest have been made at this time.

For several hours Sunday mounted patrols and other law enforcement searched through the grass and woods along FM 2012 looking for anything that could  help in their investigation.

"I get out and I'm walking up to the road and a man on horseback comes up and I ask him what's going on and he said, there's been a homicide," said Patrick Stevenson who lives with his son near the search area.

"They must have some idea, they got 20-30 people on horseback," said Stevenson.

It's  the lack of info, that has the Stevensons concerned. That's why the whole family along with their dog are on guard.

"My main concern is I'm in the dark as to who I should be on the look  out for and if they have this knowledge I wish they'd share it," said Stevenson.

"You can't really be friendly to people coming up cause you don't know what's gonna happen," said Pat Stevenson.
