The new Tyler location marks the 67th Freebirds restaurant opening in Texas for the award-winning brand, which operates more 100 locations in seven states across the U.S.
At Freebirds, employees known as "Tribe members" guide guests through the burrito-building experience, working as a team to customize each meal with various portion sizes, tortilla flavors, and dozens of fresh ingredients to suit individual tastes. Preferred menu items include grass-fed beef, hormone-free chicken and all-natural, slow-simmered carnitas in addition to the ever-popular roasted garlic, fresh lime juice and secret recipe Death Sauce. Entrées are topped with hand-chopped vegetables and a variety of freshly made salsas, sauces and dressings.
Freebirds was recently recognized as one of the nation's top fast casual brands by FastCasual.com at the "2014 Fast Casual Top 100 Movers & Shakers" awards gala held during the National Restaurant Association tradeshow in Chicago. This is the third consecutive year Freebirds has been acknowledged among the top five fast casual brands.
