(CBS) - It's that time of year again. Tech companies are showing off their slickest, edgiest, and most innovative gadgets at the Consumer Electronics Show. The CES kicks off today in Las Vegas. And among the highlights, Toyota is planning to debut prototypes of self-driving cars.

(CBS) - Gasoline is averaging three dollars and thirty cents a gallon as of now. That's up about half a penny since the first of the year. Which is quite a different story from this time last year, when gas prices jumped up 10 cents the first week of January due to an increase in crude oil prices. Crude prices closed at around 93 dollars a barrel on Monday. Across the state, the price for a gallon of Regular is around three dollars and 16 cents. But, in East Texas, prices are as low as three dollars and five cents a gallon.
