Web Exclusive: Ice bucket challenge for ALS is sweeping the country

(CNN) - Wednesday night CBS 19's Eric Sullivan got drenched taking a challenge that's sweeping the nation for a good cause.  Apparently, Dana Hughey is next since Mr. Sullivan challenged her.  JT also had a date with the ice bucket!  "I am accepting the ALS ice bucket challenge," says Justin Timberlake.  Yep, Justin Timberlake got drenched in ice cold water for a good cause, of course.  The singer is taking part in the ice bucket challenge, a social media campaign that aims to raise awareness and money to fight Lou Gehrig's disease, or ALS.  How does it work?  Well, you dump a bucket of ice-cold water over your head, then you challenge a friend to either do the same or donate money.  Who did Justin challenge?  His buddy Jimmy Fallon.

Lifetime is telling the story of actress Brittany Murphy. The network announced Tuesday it's working on a two hour movie.  Murphy died nearly 5 years ago from pneumonia, iron deficiency and prescription drug intoxication.  Rumors have swirled she was poisoned.  The movie will recount Murphy's younger years, leading up to her death.  It airs September 6th.

Advice Celine Dion is probably taking to heart.  The singer announced Tuesday she is putting her career on hold indefinitely to focus on her illness and   her husband's cancer.  According to a statement on her website, Dion suffers from an illness that causes inflammation in her throat muscles.  Dion briefly took a break in 1999, when her husband first got cancer.
