(CNN) - You see a lot of strange things on New York subways, but this probably takes the cake. Juan Cano snapped a picture of a dead shark on a Queens-bound N train around midnight Wednesday. It was still wet. The subway shark coincides with "Shark Week" on the Discovery Channel. But, the Discovery Channel denies any involvement saying "Shark Week" is all about conservation.
A $10 thousand dollar reward is being offered to find out who vandalized a statue that honors baseball icon Jackie Robinson. A swastika, anti-Semitic comments and racial slurs were written in black marker on the statue. The statue of Robinson and Pee Wee Reese is outside the Brooklyn Cyclones baseball stadium. NYPD's hate crimes task force is investigating the incident.
Usher could be in for another custody battle. The singer's ex-wife has filed an emergency motion seeking custody of their two children. This comes after the couple's oldest son almost drowned at Usher's Atlanta home Monday. In the motion filed Tuesday, mother Tameka Foster said the five-year-old was "hospitalized in intensive care." A hearing is set for Friday afternoon. Usher won primary custody of the kids last year after a bitter court fight.
