(CNN/CBS) - It's not Yale university, but "Ale University" that's getting some home brewers excited.  Portland State University is now offering the nation's first ever-- craft brewing certificate program.

"There's definitely a homebrew subculture, so people finding out about the course, I think they would benefit from it," says Jyunmi Hatcher, Junior at PSU.

The program focuses on the skills it takes to run a craft brewery or a distillery -- things like business management, marketing and accounting.  There are four courses in the 24-week program and at the end, participants get to experience some hands-on learning.  The program is online, non-credit and it's available to anyone in the world.

A lot of folks are raving on social media about a Lubbock restaurant after news of their good deed goes viral.  It was just another Sunday night for Dawn Ward when Melissa Nichols and her husband sat down at her table to celebrate his deployment.  Ward asked her manager if the restaurant could pick up the Nichols' tab.

Olive Garden picked up the entire tab-without even checking the total.  Nichols shared her experience on the Olive Garden Facebook page.  In less than 24 hours the post had more than 20 thousand likes and more than 900 comments.

The New York auto show is underway. It's where automakers roll out their newest redesigns and features.  From Honda, that means introducing a minivan fully loaded with a vacuum cleaner.  Honda says it can reach anywhere in the vehicle.  Now, there's no excuse for cereal bits or french fries in the backseat.

A severe plague of locusts has taken over Madagascar.  The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization says it needs millions of dollars to help get rid of them.  The plant-eating insects are destroying vegetation and threatening 60-percent of the country's rice production. The UNFAO says it will cost more than $41-million dollars to fight the plague.

They say the first installment of $22-million dollars is needed by June.  It's estimated that two-thirds of the country will be infested by September if no action is taken.
