(CNN) - Mega star Lady Gaga is proving to be a real home-town hero.  She pledged one-million dollars to New York and the American Red Cross for Superstorm Sandy relief efforts.

Lady Gaga made the announcement Wednesday.  Gaga posted a statement on her official website saying quote, "If it wasn't for NYC: the Lower Eastside, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn, I would not be the woman or artist that I am today."  The proud New Yorker went on to say, "Thank you for helping me build my spirit. I will now help you rebuild yours."

Kristen Stewart is keeping Twilight fans "guessing" about the status of her relationship with co-star Robert Pattinson.  The 22-year-old actress told the Today Show "I'm just going to let people watch whatever little movie they would like to think our lives are... keep them guessing I always say."

The Twilight stars made headlines with an alleged recent reconciliation -- after Stewart's public apology about her infidelity.  The final Twilight film is set to release November 16th.
