WHITE OAK/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - The City of White Oak announced this afternoon that it has implemented Stage 3 of its drought contingency plan.
Under the plan, residents must water their lawns or wash motor vehicles on certain days based on their addresses, and certain outdoor water activities have been closed or prohibited, including the city's Splash Pad.
Penalties for violating the restrictions could result in a fine of between $250 and $2,000.

ATTENTION RESIDENTS OF WHITE OAK: Sadly, City officials have had to implement Stage 3 of the adopted Drought Contingency Plan. Until otherwise notified, here are the restrictions:
■ For EVEN-NUMBERED addresses - Watering is limited to Sundays and Thursdays from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
■ For ODD-NUMBERED addresses - Watering is limited to Saturday and Wednesdays from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
■ Washing ANY type of motor vehicles are limited to your specific days above but from 8:00 p.m. - 12:00 p.m.
PROHIBITED USES OF WATER ARE AS FOLLOWS:
■ No washing of sidewalks, drive-ways, parking lots, building and/or structures, and flushing of gutters.
■ No filling or refilling of swimming pools/Jacuzzi-type pools except for during designated watering days/hours.
■ No operation of any ornamental fountain or pond for aesthetic or scenic purposes except to sustain aquatic life or if equipped with a recirculating system.
The splash-pad at the City Park will be closed to the public until further notice. The ONLY exception to this will be for reserved parties already booked and paid.
The complete "Water Conservation & Emergency Water Demand Management Plan" adopted in August 2000 will be placed on the City's website under "Forms & Documents" as soon as possible. This link will be placed on the City's Facebook as soon as it is posted.
Please help the City in its water conservation by following the adopted plan.
IMPORTANT! THERE WILL BE ENFORCEMENT OF THIS WATER PLAN AND ANY VIOLATORS MAY BE CITED AND THE PENALTY CAN RANGE FROM $250-$2,000 EACH DAY.
