Wood County man receives two life sentences for sexually assaulting children

(TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH) -  A Wood County man received two life sentences Thursday for sexually assaulting children.

District Attorney Jim Wheeler said William Jason "Pooh" Pugh was found guilty of sexually abusing several female children. But during the punishment phase, jurors learned that while incarcerated at the Wood County Jail, Pugh had pornography smuggled into the jail.

After hearing the testimony in the punishment phase, the jury returned the two life sentences within 25 minutes.
