Young Marine graduation held

Drums – Young Marine Drum Corps, comprised of Class 26 recruit Nicholas Oliver on the bass drum and Young Marine Lance Corporal Joshua Stephens on the snare drum, provide cadence for recruits of Bossier Sheriff Young Marines Class 26 as they enter the graduation.

Color Guard – Bossier Sheriff Young Marines color guard.

Inspection1 – Lance Corporal Corey Hoff, assigned to Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines in Bossier City, inspects a recruit for proper uniform wear.

JCWSpeaks – Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington encouraged family members of the recruits to continue with the leadership, discipline and teamwork skills the recruits have learned over the past few months.

KeshaSpeaks – Maj. Kesha Harris of the Bossier Sheriff's Office, guest speaker, encouraged the graduates to stay in school and never quit, no matter how hard life gets.  Her oldest son became a Young Marine a few years ago, and she says it has helped him stay focused in school and volunteer for sports. 

Promotion – Gunnery Sgt. Lavaro Ramey and Sgt. Corey Young (holding red folders) of Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines in Bossier City, promote six recruits to the rank of Young Marine/Private First Class.

HonorGrad – Young Marine Class 26 recruit Joseph D. Mitchell receives the Honor Graduate Award from instructor Gunnery Sgt. Lavaro Ramey of Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines and Deputy Steve Hoff, commanding officer of the Bossier Sheriff Young Marines.
