SFA Volleyball's 11-Game Win Streak Is Snapped

SFA Volleyball Has Win Streak Snapped

NACOGDOCHES - There are 334 NCAA Division 1 volleyball teams. At the start of the day on Tuesday, the longest winning streak in the country belonged to Stephen F. Austin.

After opening their season with a loss, the Ladyjacks had won 11 straight games.

On Tuesday, they tried to stretch that streak to 12 as they took on Texas State.

This match was delayed for more than an hour as a power outage on campus forced the match to move to Central Heights High School.

When they finally took the court, both teams were evenly matched. The Bobcats won game 1, but the Ladyjacks bounced back to win game 2. Unfortunately, Texas State won the 3rd and 4th games to win the match.

SFA will try to start a new winning streak this weekend when they play in the Rice Invitational in Houston.
