It was an emotional afternoon for the Trinity Valley football team on Saturday. Prior to their game against Tyler Junior College, TVCC honored two players (Bryce Cook and Tyler Spillman) who were killed in a car accident on Monday morning. The Cardinals followed by delivering a performance that Cook and Spillman would be proud of.
TVCC dominated the game from start to finish, defeating the Apaches 55-6. It was TJC's worst loss since 2006, when Blinn defeated them 45-3.
The Cardinals gained 567 of total yards, compared to TJC's 258.
Next up for Trinity Valley, they travel to Kilgore next Saturday. For TJC, they host New Mexico Military Institute next Saturday.
