If you ask where she was born, she'll probably say, "in a hospital," and if you ask how old she is, she's likely to say, "I'm not."
Deja Rollins was born and raised in Dallas, but moved here to East Texas for college.
She joined the CBS19 News team in October 2012 and is thrilled at the chance to help East Texans get their daily dose of news and entertainment. Deja interned with our station her senior year of college before being called two hours before graduation and offered the job as an Associate Producer for CBS19 This Morning. She says it was one of the happiest moments of her life.
Deja earned her bachelor of science degree at the University of Texas at Tyler in journalism with a minor in public relations. You may even recognize her distinctive voice when you hear it. She started her broadcast career at 19-years-old, working full-time as an on-air personality for East Texas' rhythmic radio station, The Blaze, where she received number one Arbitron ratings for having the best night show in East Texas.
In her free time, Deja enjoys, talking to youth, writing in her journal, spending time with family and friends, listening to music and snacking.
