As a lifelong Texan, I'm proud to call East Texas home. I joined the CBS 19 News team in August 2010 as a general assignment reporter. Getting to know the people and stories of East Texas has been truly rewarding!

I came to CBS 19 from our sister station in Waco, KCEN, where I was a general assignment reporter. During my time there, I got to cover everything from Baylor Basketball's Elite Eight adventure to the shocking story of mobile home dealers selling FEMA's trailers from hurricane Katrina, despite the fact that they were full of poisonous formaldehyde.

Before Waco, I was a general assignment reporter and weekend anchor for KOMU in Columbia, Missouri. I got to work with the station's investigative team—I love uncovering the truth.

I left Austin after 18 years to attend the University of Missouri, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Convergence Journalism. Convergence is the study of how to use new media and social networking to get your news to you faster and more effectively. So I'm always on Twitter, Foursquare and Facebook. Say "hi" using the links above!

Outside of work, one word sums up my life. I'm a Foodie! If you have a restaurant recommendation, let me know. Oh, and I'd love to hear your story ideas, too!
