Texas was just too hard for CBS19's Justin Earley to resist and he is happy to, once again, call it home. Justin comes to CBS19 from Little Rock, Arkansas, where he anchored the Emmy winning weekend newscast local Fox affiliate. There he followed Mike Huckabee across the country during his 2008 presidential run and helped link businesses with people looking for work through his Job Alert reports. Prior to that Justin worked as a primary anchor at KAVU in Victoria, Texas, and as a weekend anchor at KNWA in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Justin's work in Arkansas earned him several accolades from the Associated Press.
A Detroit-area native, Justin moved south as a teenager and graduated from high school in Westville, Oklahoma. He received his broadcasting and political science degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and became a proud member of Sigma Nu fraternity. Justin interned at CNBC before landing his first job.
After more than a decade in the news industry Justin has interviewed political heavyweights, music stars and sports celebrities, but his favorite stories are those that make a direct impact on people's lives. One of his favorite memories is helping a family, struggling with a contractor, finally get a flooding problem resolved.
Justin enjoys competitive running and looks forward to traveling throughout East Texas to participate in races. Justin can be seen running at Tyler parks, burning-off calories from some of the area's incredible restaurants!
