Heat wave in Iceland

Posted: Updated:

REYKJAVIK, ICELAND (CNN) - It's a heat wave, at least by arctic standards!

Halldor Sigurdsson lives in Reykjavik, Iceland, where he says the natives are sweltering under unusually high temperatures! Halldor says the beach was packed as folks tried to cool off from what he calls "staggering" temperatures close to 20 degrees Celsius.

That's about 70 degrees Fahrenheit, pretty warm for a country that typically sees temperatures in the 50s and 60s Fahrenheit in the Summer!
