Tobacco companies suing FDA over graphic labels

Posted: Updated:

(CNN) - A group of tobacco companies are saying "no way" to mandatory graphic labels.

Four companies filed a lawsuit Tuesday calling the need to include a picture of a shriveled lung or dead body on its cigarette packs a constitutional violation. The Food and Drug Administration introduced the graphic cigarette warning labels earlier this year.

Tobacco companies are required to start using the labels by September 2012.
