(CNN) - An Eastern Michigan church is playing host to an unusual business venture. It's housing a tattoo parlor! It has a lot people in the town talking.
"It's a rarity," says Ryan Brown. "It's something that I've never heard of ever."
Ryan Brown is the manager of Serenity Tattoo store in Flint Township. He never imagined he'd work at a tattoo shop in, of all places, a church.
Traci Seeback can't imagine going anywhere else to get her tattoo. "It feels good to me to be able to come in here and know that it's a nice, safe environment," says Traci Seeback.
Being home to a tattoo studio isn't the only unique thing about this church. They also host MWO wrestling events and, later on this year, they plan to bring in cage fighting."
"I can't think of any negative comments I've gotten from people who brought their kids and watched it," says Ryan Brown, Serenity Tattoo. "The most negative comment is, 'That's boring. I don't want to watch that.'"
In case you're wondering, Bentley says only family friendly events will be held at his house of righteousness. The same goes for the tattoo studio. The only images you'll find are positive ones. Bentley knows how important that is, recalling the first time he went to a tattoo parlor with his son. "There was so much stuff on the wall of nude, just basically pornographic pictures and stuff. I didn't realize that was all on the walls. That's why my son was so uncomfortable and I felt bad I took him into this place," says Bentley.
Even though most people don't associate a tattoo shop with church, brown believes tats have their place in any house of worship.
"Jesus loves you no matter what you are, or who you are, or where you come from, or what you're into -- as long as it's not hurting other people," says Bentley.
