ANGELINA COUNTY (KYTX) - Eight people are behind bars in at the Angelina County Jail after trying to illegally move into the United States.

Angelina County Sheriff's Office said a deputy made a traffic stop on a Dodge minivan on U.S. 59 North for driving with out a license plate.

Deputies interviewed the people in the vehicle and after giving different stories, determined they were illegal immigrants.

The eight people are being held in the Angelina County Jail while an I.C.E. agent interviews them to determine the next steps.
