UPSHUR COUNTY (KYTX) - Three fire departments worked to put out a fire on FM 1795 Tuesday morning. It happened just west of Gilmer at a home.
Crews on the scene say the home was destroyed by fire, but no one was home at the time. Firefighters say the fire is out now and just smoking. Pritchett, Pleasant Grove and Gilmer Volunteer Fire Departments all fought the fire.
Still no word on what started the fire. Fire investigators say a family of four lived in the home. We will bring you more details as we get them.
Fire crews in Upshur County are responding to a house fire just west of Gilmer.
Volunteer firefighters say the apartment is located near FM 1795. We have a crew headed to the scene and will bring you more details on the fire as we get them.
