(CBS) - Full details are expected to be released later today on the tentative agreement to extend the payroll tax cuts for 160-million Americans.
House and Senate negotiators reached a deal late yesterday. The measure could be on the President's desk by the end of the week. The extension would save the average worker $20 dollars a week through the end of the year.
Lawmakers working on the deal say it will also renew long term unemployment benefits and avoid cuts in Medicare payments for doctors.
