(CNN) - Whitney Houston's family is preparing to say farewell. A funeral is planned for Saturday at Houston's childhood church in New Jersey. Only invited guests may attend. The late singer's body arrived at the funeral home Monday night after being released from the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.

(CNN) - Shakira is recovering after a close call with a wild animal. The singer was on a tour in South Africa when she tried to get close enough to wild sea lions to take a picture. According to a post on her Facebook page, she got a little too close and one of the sea lions tried to attack her. Shakira credits her brother with pulling her from danger. She suffered only minor scrapes.

(CBS) - Meryl Streep was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Berlin.
She discussed her latest performance as Margaret Thatcher, in "The Iron Lady." Streep has already won a Golden Globe and Britian's Film Award for her role in "The Iron Lady."
We'll see if she picks up a third prize at the Oscars on February 26th.
