TYLER (KYTX) - Knowing CPR is a skill that could one day help you save lives.
Saturday, East Texans of all different occupations took a Heart Saver CPR class at the Glass Recreation Center in Tyler.
Instructors say it's shocking how few people actually know CPR. They stress the importance of learning these life-saving techniques, no matter what kind of industry you work in.
"I work for Smith County Road and Bridge. A lot of times we're out in the country, away from any kind of medical help and you just never know when you might need this."
Instructors at the Glass Recreation Center will be holding CPR classes each month.
The classes are $30 per person.
