In 1962, the Lon Morris basketball team reached the NJCAA basketball final against Coffeyville. The Bearcats came up short, but they still remain the only team from Lon Morris to advance as far as they did.

On Saturday, the 1962 team was honored by the University as they celebrated the 50th anniversary of making the championship game.
