Yoder,CO (CBS) - In Colorado, a 9-month-old girl is hospitalized this morning after being bitten by a pitbull.
The incident happened Sunday afternoon. Rescuers say the little girl was bitten on the left side of her face and will require major reconstructive surgery to repair the damage.
The sheriff's office says the animal's owner, which was a relative of the 9 month old, was issued a summons for unlawful ownership of a dangerous dog. The humane society has taken custody of the dog.
