(KYTX) -- In our CBS 19 this morning pump watch report, gas prices around the country seem to be going in one direction lately... up.
Due to recent turmoil in the Middle East, gas prices not just in the US, but all over the world, have increased drastically in the last couple weeks.
In Los Angeles, the prices at some gas stations are pennies shy of hitting the five dollar mark, which is well above the national average.
Experts expect prices to continue to increase through the spring and into the summer driving season.
The average gas price in Tyler for a gallon of Regular is 3 dollars and 42 cents.
