TYLER (KYTX) - Tyler elementary students get a lesson in soul from the Soul Street Dancers of Houston.
They taught students different dance moves and where they originated all in the effort to teach students self confidence.
"We grew up in rough neighborhoods back in Houston," Javier Garcia said. "For us to be able to make it out of that, we're living proof you can make something out of your life and you can do it."
Some of the students were invited on stage to show off their best dance moves.
The event was held in conjunction with black history month.
