UPDATE (March 15, 2012) - Longview Police Department have arrested 18 year old Brian Davis in the 100 block of Delmar St. on Saturday night.

Davis is currently booked in the Gregg County Jail.

Davis was shot in the ankle at the scene.

The second suspect is still loose.

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Leann Buckley was at home with her three kids Saturday night when she heard gun shots.

She called 911 and then peeked outside to get a better look.

"I opened the front door and I can hear him screaming help he shot me," Buckley said.

Police say the man who was shot was a burglar and was caught in the act by an alert neighbor.

Investigators said one of the neighbors went over and saw two black males in the house where there was gunfire exchanged and the two black males ran out the front door and one was hit.

While one suspect got away, the other was shot in the ankle. Police highlighted shell casings in orange spray paint. Casings littered the driveway of this home in the 100 block of Delmar Street.

Buclekey says they came dangerously close to her and her three kids.

"there's one that was lodged here I guess one had ricocheted I don't know, she said.

One of the alleged burglars is recovering in the hospital. Police are on the lookout for the other one.

They say they will not be filing charges against the neighbor who fired the shots.

"Yeah, I'm definitely buying a gun," Buckley says.

She's not taking any chances with her family's safety.
