Tyler, Texas native Carl Gardner, Sr., was the founder and lead singer of the internationally-acclaimed group The Coasters; they were also known as "The Clown Princes of Rock and Roll." The Coasters were the first group inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, and their numerous hits such as "Yakety-Yak," "Charlie Brown," and "Poison Ivy" were heard world-wide. They performed in several countries and throughout the United States, but never in Mr Gardner's hometown of Tyler, Texas. Mr. Gardner's namesake, Carl Gardner, Jr. pledged to continue his father's legacy and "Coming Home" to perform in Tyler, honors the music and memory of his beloved father.

A Texas native as well, Carl Gardner, Jr. was born in Bullard on April 29 - a birth date he shared with his father. They not only shared the same birth date, but for more than a decade, Jr. and Sr. performed side by side with (his father's group) The Coasters. Several years in advance of his recent June 2011 passing, Carl Gardner, Sr. "officially" handed over the reins of lead vocalist to his son at a 2005 Retirement Party. In August 2011 Thomas "Curly" Palmer, (the guitarist and Music Director for The Coasters for the past 50 years) joined forces with Carl Jr., along with three outstanding vocalists to form "The Coasters featuring Carl Gardner Jr. and Curly Palmer, A Tribute: The Legacy Continues…" Carl and Curly provide the heart and soul of the music made famous around the world!

The magical music of the '50s and '60s is reborn through the unique all-female East Texas show group called "Shake, Rattle & Roll." This group of four friends, Tavie Spivey, Brenda Spencer, Kathy Sutton and LeAnn Bemis are "seasoned" showbiz vets and are also known as "the pride of East Texas." Shake, Rattle & Roll is nationally and locally recognized for their '50s and '60s sound - they will make you stop, drop and roll with laughter as they take you back to a time of innocence with their beautiful harmonies, choreographed moves, comedy and hula hooping skills. Carl Gardner, Sr. loved children and enjoyed presenting "up and coming" artists in his shows, Elvis Tribute Artist, Josh Davis fits the bill! This teen-sensation is far beyond his years on stage having appeared in concerts from Memphis to Maui. A resident of Sulphur Springs, Texas Josh developed an interest in music and a love of "Elvis's" music at a very young age.

Prepare for a fun, entertaining and family-friendly evening of entertainment!
