Breast cancer survival lower for men

Posted: Updated:

(CNN) - Breast cancer could be much more deadly for men than women.

Dr. John Greif, a breast surgeon in San Francisco says research finds a woman's overall five year survival rate was 83 percent but a man's was only 74 percent. He says women are more likely to have their cancer caught early because of breast self exams and mammograms.

If you want to support the men and women in our community dealing with breast cancer, you can.
