WE Consumer Corner: More people use facebook mobile site

Posted: Updated:

(CBS.CNN) - A new report finds more people are using their mobile phones to access facebook than either the actual website or smartphones.

The report finds more users are logging into facebook through the mobile "m.facebook.com" site than through all of the smartphone and tablet apps.  Comscore also finds users are spending more time on facebook mobile, about 7.3 hours a month.

While, facebook is dominating the market for photo sharing.  Apple wants a bigger piece of that business.  The Wall Street Journal says the company is preparing a major upgrade to the online service it calls iCloud.  The new features will reportedly improve photo-sharing and allow iCloud users to post comments.

The pilots at United Airlines have launched an ad campaign called, "The Unfriendly Skies."  The pilots have been negotiating a new contract since December 2009.  The pilots claim United is neglecting safety by outsourcing 66% of its domestic flights to regional carriers.  United says safety is its highest priority..and that the union PR campaign is nothing but another negotiating strategy.

As a way of saying thank you to men and women serving in the U.S. Military, the White House announced last night that military families can get a free pass to the nation's parks and monuments.  An annual pass is normally $80 dollars.  The first free passes are being issued today by U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar in Yorktown, Virginia.

The estimated loss of revenue is expected to be between two and six million dollars.
