(KYTX) - New York police believe they found new evidence against the man they believe took the life of a 6-year-old boy.

Police say they found several clothing items and toys dating back to Etan Patz's disappearance in 1979.

Police executed the search of Pedro Hernandez's house on Wednesday.

Hernandez confessed to killing the boy last month after police received a tip from his brother-in-law.

Police say it's not uncommon for killer's to keep personal items from their victim's as a trophy.
