(CBS/WLKY) - A small dog has become a huge internet sensation. The little wonder will go to any lengths to get a bite to eat.
A petty theft was caught on camera that showed a little dog eyeing a serving of leftover steak. After failing to jump on the table, it cleverly pushes a chair over on its hind legs, jumps a few times and finally snags its dinner. It's a video going viral and it all started when a Sellersberg, KY homeowner noticed food disappearing from the dinner table. The suspect was Topanga, the family dog.
"We were trying to figure out where was it going and we knew she was getting it," says Corey Fehlinger, a Family Friend. "We just didn't know how."
Her owners set-up hidden cameras to catch her in the act and sure enough, They got her. Her owners say Topanga wasn't trained. "She knows tricks. They're all her own tricks. She makes them up on her own. We don't really teach them to her," says Mackenzie Reinen, Topanga's owner.
Topanga has been a part of this home for three years.
She is a Chinese crested dog, a hairless breed. "A lot of people just call her the ugliest dog they're ever seen," says Fehlinger. "I mean there's no fur on her at all." But what Topanga lacks in appearance, she makes up for in personality. "Once they get to know her, they fall in love with her," says Reinen.
Now this hairless wonder is the newest internet sensation. Her video is catching on with more than a hundred thousand hits in the last few days. "She only got like 100 views from friends and family and then the other day it just went crazy. "I knew it was going to happen," says Reinen.
The big questions is would Topanga do it again? Put to the test one more time and sure enough, she did it again.
