BELLEFONTE, PA (CNN) - The high-profile trial of former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky begins today. Attorneys are scheduled to give opening statements in the case.

Sandusky is charged with sexually abusing 10 boys over at least 15 years, some even on the Penn State campus. Twelve jurors and four alternates were picked last week. More than half of the panel has ties to Penn State.

The 68-year-old faces life in prison if he is convicted on all counts.
