(CBS) - There may be a link between dental plaque and premature cancer death. In a new study, researchers in Sweden tracked 14-hundred people over 24 years. They found dental plaque was associated with a 79 percent increase in dying early from cancer. The risk was much higher for men. The authors warn the absolute risk of death is low, and their findings don't prove that dental plaque causes or definitely contributes to cancer.

(CBS) - The government announces historic new women's health guidelines. The Department of Health and Human Services is requiring insurance companies to cover women's preventive services. For the millions of American women who use contraception, birth control will now essentially be free because of new guidelines requiring insurance companies to not only cover the costs, but to eliminate co-pays and deductibles.
