EAST TEXAS (KYTX) - Scattered strong thunderstorms will continue over East Texas this morning. They are mainly along and on either side of I-30. Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible this morning along our the Texas, Louisiana border counties and along I-30.

Otherwise, scattered thunderstorms will continue around the rest of East Texas, capable of producing heavy rain and 30-40 mph wind gusts. There were reports of hail in the Whitehouse area earlier this morning.

This morning's storms also left many East Texans in the dark. Both Oncor and Swepco are reporting about 100 outages each. Crews are working to get power restored as soon as possible.
