Mineola man arrested for string of business burglaries

HAWKINS KYTX) - On Saturday June 9, 2012 at approximately 2:06 a.m. Hawkins Police Department contacted Wood County Sheriff's Department for backup during several burglaries of buildings. While Hawkins Police were investigating burglaries at Richie's Restaurant on Hwy. 80 and another one at the Shell Station-Hira Food on Hwy 80, Officer Eileen Frazier had a 3rd Alarm call came in at the JJ'S Fast Stop –Exxon on US Hwy.80.  Officer Frazier noticed the door was broken and heard a banging coming from inside the store.

Wood County Deputy Sgt. Kevin Fretwell arrived at the back door of JJ'S Fast Stop –Exxon and heard the banging noise and located a white male 21-year-old Cody Alan Alexander trying to kick a side glass door out. Sgt. Fretwell drew his service weapon and ordered Alexander on the ground at which time Hawkins officer Eileen Frazier came in and cuffed Alexander. After reviewing the tapes at the other business it was found that Cody Alan Alexander from Mineola was the actor at all three businesses that were burglarized. Hawkins Officer Eileen Frazier charged Alexander with 3 counts of Burglary of a Building Criminal Episodes which are Felony of the 3rd degree.  

Alexander is being held on $5,000.00 bond on each charge x 3. For a total of $15,000.00
