Wood County Sheriff's Department:
WOOD COUNTY (KYTX) - On Tuesday June 19, 2012 at 10:00 p.m. the Wood County Sheriffs Department was dispatched to 420 CR 2375 Alba, Texas in reference to shots fired.
Upon arrival deputies found a white male had been shot once in the chest and the victim was identified as Scott Reed w/m 8/22/1974.
After being stabilized Mr. Reed was transported to East Texas Medical Center in Quitman, Texas were he was later pronounced deceased.
Autopsy was order by Judge Tomerlin and Mr. Reed's body was sent to South West forensic institute in Dallas. At this time the investigation is still on going.
