Miami heat wins second NBA title

Posted: Updated:

MIAMI, FL (CNN) - The Miami Heat and their fans are waking up NBA Champions this morning.

3-time league MVP Lebron James finally gets a championship with the Heat. They defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 121 to 106 last night. James played a huge role-- with 26 points.

The Heat won four games straight to take the title. It's the second for Miami, and the first since James joined fellow superstars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in a highly-publicized championship quest.

Meanwhile, Miami Heat fans celebrated in the streets Thursday night after their team won the NBA championship. Fans cheered and chanted -- some even banged pots and pans. The "pot-and-pan-demonium" has become a south Florida tradition especially in Little Havana and Hialeah.
