TRINITY -- Two arrested and charged with the June 3, 2012 theft of nine firearms

June 3, 2012 10:22PM – After following up on suspicious activity reported to Chief Jones, Officer Bryan and Chief Jones recovered eight rifles with scopes, one shot gun, one pair of binoculars, and three hunting knives. The weapons were actually recovered before the victims knew their home had been burglarized. The victims live in the Glendale area. The weapons have been returned to the owner. One juvenile suspect and two adult suspects were identified. Nine counts of felony theft of firearm charges are pending against the three.

June 6, 2012 - James "PJ" Parish JR (23 years old) and Sara Landry (18 years old) were taken into custody by combined efforts of the Trinity Police Department, Constable Wallace's Office, Polk County Sheriff's Office, Livingston Police Department, Hardin County Sheriff's Office, Lumberton Police Department, and the Department of Public Safety. Sgt. Wheeler, Chief Jones, and Constable Wallace spent most of the day on the phone with officers and deputies from each department. It was believed the suspects were in the Hardin County area where the Hardin County SO, Lumberton PD, and a Trooper searched for them. Their movements were tracked to Livingston where they were arrested just outside of the Wal-Mart parking lot by the Polk County SO and Livingston PD. They had just met and handed off two children with relatives. It was indicated that once the two had dropped off the children they planned to attempt to evade capture. Both were charged with nine counts of felony theft of a firearm stemming from the June 3, 2012 weapons recovery.
