WHITEHOUSE (KYTX) - UPDATE: Whitehouse firefighters have extinguished two small grass fires this evening.

A small woods fire that sparked near FM 346 and County Road 1275 just after 3 today was put out quickly. Firefighters say a homeowner was burning brush when the flames got out of control.

Just after that call came a second one in the 100 block of Old Tyler Road. Two acres burned when a hay bailer caught a bail of hay and a pasture on fire.

Both fires have been extinguished tonight.
