UPDATE 2:32 p.m. Tyler Fire Department:
The Tyler Fire Department responded to a two-alarm structure fire this morning at 4901 Kinsey Drive at Quail Creek Apartments. One apartments sustained heavy fire, smoke and heat damage. Occupants in one other apartment were displaced by water damage. Several apartments were ventilated to remove smoke.
The fire appears to be suspicious in nature and the investigation is still underway.
Tyler Fire Department:
TYLER (KYTX) - The Tyler Fire Department responded to a two-alarm structure fire this morning at 4901 Kinsey Drive at Quail Creek Apartments. The initial call received at 11:44 a.m. and the caller reported that they saw smoke coming from one of the apartments. The first arriving unit called for a second alarm. Five engines and one Ladder Company, along with a District Chief and an Investigator, responded to the scene.
The fire started in one of the apartments and caused damage to several others. The cause is still under investigation and there were no injuries. Crews are still on the scene at this time.
