The vaccine introduces antibodies that attack the nicotine before it reaches the brain or heart. It needs a few more rounds of animal tests before it can be tested on people.

Women in jobs like sales, childcare and teaching had babies whose heads were about 3-percent smaller than average. For jobs without a lot of standing, researchers found no negative effects from working long hours during pregnancy.
