FLINT (KYTX) - Noonday Fire Department tells CBS 19 that the grass fire burning in Flint has been contained.

Noonday firefighters tell us the fire started around 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon on CR 1102, near Highway 155.

Noonday, Flint-Gresham and Bullard fire departments are still on scene.

Firefighters were able to prevent structures in the area from catching, and attribute the amount of time it took to put the fire out to the dead wood catching so easily.

No one could confirm how the fire started, but it's believed to be a controlled-burn gone out of control.
