Longview Police arrest one in overnight shooting

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - On June 30, 2012 at 8:05 p.m., Longview Police were dispatched to a shooting just occurred in the 800 Block of Sylvan Drive.

Police were told that two subjects had gotten into an altercation. One of the subjects produced a weapon and fired at least one shot, striking the victim in the leg.

 The victim's injuries were non-life threatening and the victim was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center.

The suspect, identified as 25 year-old Ryan Hedrick of Longview, was apprehended by officers a short time later on a traffic stop.

Hedrick was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and transported to the Gregg County Jail. His bond is set at $20,000.
