(CNN) - A "not so kid- friendly teddy bear" stripped "Magic Mike" of the top spot at the box office.

"Ted" -- the comedy from the creator of "Family Guy," won the weekend, with about $54-million dollars in ticket sales, according to studio estimates. Channing Tatum strutted his stuff and came in second place with "Magic Mike." The film, about an entrepreneurial male stripper, pulled in about $39-million dollars at the box office. And last week's number one movie, Disney and pixar's "Brave" dropped to third place, with another $34-million dollars in ticket sales.
